As Luo Huanghun looked at Murong Feng, she wondered—was it because she met him again in this life that his fate changed, and so did hers?

She couldn’t help but cup Murong Feng’s face and examine it. “Your brow isn’t dark, and your face doesn’t show signs of an early death…”

Murong Feng barely restrained himself from tossing this little fortune-teller off his lap.

When Luo Huanghun finally relaxed and accidentally met Murong Feng’s gaze, she realized what an outrageous thing she’d just done.

She awkwardly lowered her head. “It’s getting late, Prince. Shouldn’t you head back?”

Murong Feng raised an eyebrow. “What kind of lady uses me and then tosses me aside?”

Luo Huanghun put her hand to her forehead. This man really had no filter—how did rumors ever get started that he was cold and unapproachable?

She pointed at the window. “If you don’t leave now, don’t even think about coming in next time.”

She meant to chase Murong Feng away, but his eyes lit up. “So there will be a next time?”

Seeing Luo Huanghun about to get angry, Murong Feng quickly kissed her on the cheek, then leapt out the window. “Wait for me!”

Luo Huanghun slammed the window shut, touched her cheek where he’d kissed her, and couldn’t help but smile.

Murong Feng didn’t even wait until evening—the very next morning, he came to invite Luo Huanghun out.

Luo Chenhui idolized Murong Feng and eagerly welcomed him, even preparing a carriage for them.

Luo Huanghun was speechless, but she still agreed, feeling a bit excited herself.

By the time they reached the mountaintop, it was already late. Murong Feng skillfully set up a tent.

“The stars here are the most beautiful in the capital. My parents brought me here when I was little.”

Luo Huanghun knew about Murong Feng’s parents—they had guarded the border between Qing and the Great Yin, and died together in battle.

She quietly took Murong Feng’s hand. He pulled her into his arms. “They say people become stars after death. Maybe my parents are watching us from the sky.”

Luo Huanghun hummed in agreement.

“If my parents have seen you, does that mean you’ll agree to marry me?” Murong Feng suddenly picked Luo Huanghun up and spun her around.

She laughed and hit him. “Put me down!”

Looking at Murong Feng, Luo Huanghun made a decision in her heart. There were only two months left—she wanted to give Murong Feng her promise, as a free woman.

Leaning against him, she said, “Murong Feng, ask me again in two months, okay?”

Murong Feng hugged her tightly.

Suddenly, her stomach rumbled loudly, and Luo Huanghun wished she could disappear on the spot.

Embarrassed, she lowered her head, but Murong Feng just laughed and soon returned with a wild rabbit.

He roasted it over the fire, and soon the delicious aroma filled the air.

Luo Huanghun held up two fingers. “Prince, I’ve saved your life twice. Surely I deserve an extra rabbit leg?”

Murong Feng handed her the whole rabbit. Luo Huanghun didn’t stand on ceremony and took a big bite.

But then Murong Feng grew serious. “Speaking of life-saving debts, for martial artists, gratitude is everything. A life-saving debt…”

Luo Huanghun perked up, listening closely.

“…should be repaid with one’s life,” Murong Feng finished.

Luo Huanghun choked on her rabbit meat, nearly coughing herself to death.

Murong Feng gave her a mischievous look, but before he could say more, his expression changed. “Quiet!”
